Eivind Eriksen er professor ved Institutt for samfunnsøkonomi på Handelshøyskolen BI, der han underviser i matematikk ved bachelor-, master- og ph.d.-programmene. Han har doktorgrad i matematikk fra Universitetet i Oslo 2000. Hans forskning er innen algebra, algebraisk geometri og deformasjonsteori. Eriksen har vitenskapelig publisering i en rekke internasjonale fagtidsskrifter. Han er medforfatter på forskningsmonografien Noncommutative Deformation Theory (2017), og forfatter av flere lærebøker i matematikk, inkludert Matematikk for økonomi og finans (2016). Eriksen mottok i 2020 prisen for beste foreleser på BI.
