Jørn Jensen skrev sine første bøker for barn allerede i 1987. I 1997 fikk han tildelt den danske Skriver-prisen for sine lettlest-bøker. Jensen har tre utdannelser. Først utdannet han seg til gullsmed, så utdannet han seg til lærer og senere tok han utdannelse som talepedagog. Jørn er dansk og bor i Roskilde sammen med sin kone.
