Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman is Emeritus Fellow of Mansfield College in the University of Oxford. Freeman’s previous books include: Victorians in Search of Winter Health: Ventnor, Isle of Wight, the Mediterranean on an English Shore (2015); Victorians and the Prehistoric: Tracks to a Lost World (2004/2006); and Railways and the Victorian Imagination (1999), which won the Yorkshire Post Book of the Year prize and was shortlisted for the Sally Hacker Prize at Johns Hopkins.
