Klaus Nielsen

Klaus Nielsen is a Professor Emeritus at Birkbeck Business School, University of London, where he is affiliated with the Birkbeck Sport Business Centre and the Centre for Innovation Management Research. His research is in the fields of the economics, business, and sociology of sport, with a particular focus on elite sports. Nielsen was involved in founding Team Danmark and the Danish Institute for Sports Studies (Idrættens Analyseinstitut). He has also conducted research on innovation, social capital, negotiated economies, and has extensive teaching experience in research methods, innovation, the EU, and economics. Nielsen has published more than one hundred scientific articles, books, and reports.
