was born in Brasschaat, Belgium (1984). He studied graphic design and illustration at the KASK-academy in Gent, where renowned artist Carll Cneut was one of his teachers. Alain works parttime in a lifestyle-store for children. THE DOVE THAT COULDN’T DIVE was his first picturebook, which, within a few months, was already sold to five countries. He is currently working on his second and third picturebook.

was born in Leerdam, The Netherlands (1964). He was a teacher in elementary schools before he became a fulltime writer in 2001. He writes novels for children and young adults, poetry, picturebooks and songlyrics. His books were awarded with the Golden Kiss (best book for teenagers, 3x), Silver Slate (best books for children, 6x), Woutertje Pieterse Prijs (critic’s choice), and he got a nomination for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for two years in a row now. His books are sold to more than twelve countries.
